Blogmas Day 10: CF Christmas Party Makeup

Blogmas Day 10: CF Christmas Party Makeup

What’s better then getting a glam, glittery face on ready for a Christmas party? What about if I say a cruelty free, affordable and versatile way to make up your face and make yourself feel like a glitzy queen!

Now I’m no make up expert, but I am a sucker for a good quality bargain in the make up section. As you may know, early this year I began my progression to going cruelty free with my household, beauty and fabric items. Here I’ve come up with a little guide of my favourite, staple items that will be perfect for all year round as well as great for a Christmas face.

All individual items are less than £20 each! And most are around a fiver – they’re all good quality, long wearing, suitable for sensitive skin and there was no harming of little bunnies in the process!

Here I have a few items that are all under a tenner!!!

Collection (exclusive to Superdrug)

This brand are a super affordable, cruelty free option for those who may be starting out on the cruelty free journey. I like to pick up my powder and bronzer from here – I only like a little of each to set my look, take away shine and add a little bit of glow and these do just the trick. And at around £2 each, you can’t go wrong! They’d also make perfect stocking fillers if you’re short of ideas…

Elf

Don’t be scared by elf – it may seem like a big brand but big brand doesn’t always mean big prices. Elf is well known for being cruelty free and is cheaper than you think. I’m absolutely dying to try out the rest of their range, but for now I’m in love with their primers. I’m currently using the hydration primer, which doesn’t just moisturise the skin, but keeps your make up in place alllll day. And it was only around £8 too!

No.7 (Boots)

Now, No7 isn’t listed on PETAs cruelty free guide, however the brand, owned by Boots does NOT test on animals. I love No7 and it’s not just for old people. This is probably the pricier of the options, but most items are priced between £10 to £30 and in comparison to animal testing brands like MAC, is an absolute bargain. Perfect for sensitive and irritable skin (I have eczema and I swear by No7), the brand feels luxuriously soft and comfortable on your skin all day long. I have been using the Stay Perfect Foundation for over 4 years now and I won’t be swapping it out of my life any time soon. I wear the shade ‘cool beige’. I’m also a big fan of their mascara, eyeliner and even their gel nail varnishes too!

Revolution (exclusive to Superdrug)

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Revolution, especially the eye shadow palettes! This one is absolutely gorgeous, has strong pigments, both glittery and matte and is only £9.99! The Revolution collection has cheaper palettes too, with a variety of different shades and colours so if pinks and golds aren’t your thing, have a little look at the collection for yourself!
